How did PodChatLive get started?

PodChatLive is the monthly live show for the continuing expert development of Podiatrists along with other health care professionals that might be interested in the issues covered. The show goes out live on Facebook after which is later added to YouTube after being edited so they can reach a wider audience. Each live show has a different guest or collection of guests to talk about a different topic every time. A wide array of topics get discussed for each episode. Issues are answered live by the hosts and their guests whilst in the live stream on Facebook. There’s even a podcast of each episode presented on iTunes and Spotify and the other typical podcast places that get submitted after editing. They’ve developed a considerable following within Podiatry that keeps growing at a high level. PodChatLive is undoubtedly one of many methods by which podiatry practitioners may get free continuing education hours or credits that are required in many countries to keep their professional registration. They do not charge for access to it.

Following the initial impromptu and unplanned episode from the kitchen after the hosts had a meal, the PodChatLive was done by the hosts remotely to see if it could possibly work. While using Zoom web seminar platform, Craig Payne was in Melbourne, Australia and Ian Griffiths was in London, England. They wanted to find out if it could give good results in such a remote format. In this second show, they discussed supination resistance, touched on 2D Vs 3D gait analysis and were requested who their must follow people were on social media among other topics. They were asked some question that they were not sure of the answers to, which lead to the decision to continue and get a different expert on each month. It was successful and since then just about every key researcher in each area of Podiatry agreeing to be guests.
